Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has become awardee of annual "Russia's best exporter of the year" awards which was conducted by Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation. At 2008 the enterprise was honored with Diploma in category of "The most dynamic exporter in aircraft industry".
The plant's foreign economic activity has been not once honored by Ministry of economic development and trade of Russia. In 2008 the enterprise received award "Aircraft Industry - the best exporter in industry sector".
In 2008 the export delivery percentage makes up 54% of the total plant's delivery. The total export revenue makes more than 5 bln. rub. The enterprise delivered helicopters to the countries of Eastern Europe, CIS, South America, Middle East, South and Southeast Asia.
Since the beginning of 90-s UUAP has been successfully developing the international markets delivering multi-functional Mi-171 helicopters, Mi-171 VIP and passenger helicopters., In cooperation with FSUE "Rosoboronexport" the enterprise supplies the export market with combat-transport Mi-171Sh helicopter equipped by guided/unguided missiles and gun armament, which is in great demand in state organizations of various countries. Helicopters manufactured at UUAP are well known all over the world and have gained great popularity with the operators of more than 30 countries.
Mi-171 helicopter has been successfully certified in Russia, Slovakia, China, South Korea and Brazil. It is in demand in foreign airlines carrying out commercial transportation. In 2008 Mongolia became one more country that recognized high reliability, safe and ease of maintenance of Mi-171 helicopter and certified helicopter of this type.
